Desire is the visionary Managing Director of Anchored Care, bringing a powerful blend of professional expertise, lived experience, and an unwavering commitment to social justice. With a background in Engineering and IT consultancy, Desire’s early career was marked by technical innovation—yet it was his heart for humanity that ultimately steered him toward the care sector.
Inspired by his volunteer work in orphanages, Desire founded Art Meets Heart, a Brisbane-based charity empowering underprivileged children around the world through creative expression. His passion for impact-led initiatives continues to shape his leadership journey today.
At Anchored Care, Desire leads with empathy, strategy, and excellence. Drawing on his strengths in Client Relationship Management, Stakeholder Engagement, Risk and Compliance, and Change Management, he champions a service culture that is both person-centred and performance-driven. His leadership is rooted in his upbringing in a home where compassion and advocacy were foundational—deeply influenced by his mother’s work as a teacher for the hearing and speech impaired.
Desire’s contribution to Queensland’s business landscape has not gone unnoticed. In recognition of his impact, he was named a finalist in the prestigious 40 Under 40 Awards, a globally recognised program that celebrates the movers, shakers, visionaries, and quiet achievers shaping the future of the state. This honour reflects his bold yet humble leadership, and his commitment to meaningful change within the disability services sector and beyond.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Desire is a charismatic EmCee, lighting up events with warmth and charm. He is also a devoted husband and father of three, who finds joy in dancing, travelling, and making lasting memories with his family. Whether in the boardroom, on stage, or at home, Desire leads with purpose, authenticity, and a passion for people.
